how do you ship non perishable products?

Non perishable products are shipped with Canada Post standard service.

how do you ship frozen porcini mushrooms?

We ship frozen porcini mushrooms with UPS Express next day service. Currently this service is available to Southern Ontario, Montreal QC, Quebec City QC, Winnipeg MN, Regina SK, Saskatoon SK, Edmonton AB, Calgary AB, Vancouver BC and Victoria BC. If you are not sure if this service is available in your area, please contact us with your address.

Product is shipped in an insulated box with ice packs. Dry ice (solid CO2) may be requested via email. Dry ice will be packaged in own containers within the insulated box with handling instructions in case of any remaining upon delivery.

Shipping days are Mon-Wed except holidays. Orders placed after 12:00AM Wednesday will be shipped the following Monday.

Frozen berries are available throughout Greater Vancouver area only.

Non-frozen products may be returned in case of product defect within 14 days of purchase for an exchange or a full refund of the purchase price.

All frozen product sales are final.

Spirulina (Spirulina platensis) is an unicellular microalgae, the first photosynthetic form of life on Earth, created by Nature 3.5 billion years ago. It went through millions of years of evolution that is encoded in its DNA. Spirulina platensis algae is one of the best natural vitamin complexes on our planet. It is nature's superfood that contains a wide range of biologically active substances, naturally balanced without any special outside intervention. Where and how does spirulina grow?

Spirulina Live comes from Ukraine. Historically known as "europe's breadbasket", Ukraine is currently enjoying an agricultural renaissance. Our spirulina is grown in a controlled, enclosed environment thriving in clean, artesian well water. Once it reaches the correct concentration, it is drained of excess water, sifted, portioned and immediately frozen locking in all its natural properties.

Spirulina Live is a live frozen microorganism. It must be stored in a freezer and thawed once prior to use.

How long does it last?

Our spirulina has a two year shelf life in a freezer at -18 degrees celcius. Once thawed, Spirulina Live should be consumed within an hour.

Is spirulina safe for children?

Spirulina, like many other plant-based super foods, is absolutely safe for kids to eat. As food, spirulina represents a complete vegetarian protein source. When it is sourced safely and administered correctly, it can be a fantastic supplement for adults and children.

Is it free of heavy metals and toxins contamination?

Spirulina Live is guaranteed to be free of heavy metal and mycrocystins contamination.

Are there any precautions for taking spirulina?
